Study Requirements
Foundation
English Entry requirement: 5.5/6.0 in IELTS
Academic: Twelve years of school education or equivalent in your own country
Diploma of Higher Education
English Entry requirement: 6.0 in IELTS
Academic: : Qualifications equivalent to one or two UK A-levels, two or three Scottish Higher or
a National Diploma; or an international foundation year.
Undergraduate
English Entry requirement: 6.5 in IELTS
Academic: Qualifications equivalent to two or three UK A-levels, three or four Scottish Higher,
a Higher National Certificate or Diploma, or BTEC National Diploma; or an international
foundation year.
Postgraduate
To begin a postgraduate course in the UK, you will need to hold an undergraduate degree from
the UK or overseas. You will be expected to have obtained a first or good 2:1 (or international
equivalent) in a directly related subject and you will need at least IELTS 6.5 level for most
courses.
Qualifications required:
Pre-Master
Undergraduate degree plus IELTS 5.0-5.5
Postgraduate Certificate/Postgraduate Diploma
Undergraduate degree plus IELTS 6.5-7.0, or a pre-master’s course
Master’s degree
A first-class undergraduate degree or even an upper second-class undergraduate degree would
work with an IELTS score of 7.0, or a pre-master’s course.
MBA
First degree with about 2-3 years of business experience, along with an IELTS score of 6.5-7.0
PhD
Master’s degree, plus IELTS 6.57.0
Fees & Scholarship
Tuition fees for a UK undergraduate and graduate degree range from £10,000 – £38,000 or more
for medical degrees. You must have £12,180 for the annual living expenses according to the
current student visa requirements.
You can also apply for a scholarship to study in the UK. Some scholarships are funded by the
UK government, some by external organizations, and many by individual universities.

Work Rights While Studying
- International students who have been accepted for a full-time position at a UK
educational institution will be eligible to work while studying in the UK. You may only
be eligible to work under Tier 4 Rules. - 20 hours a week if you are studying at degree level or you are a student of a higher
education institution (HEI) - 20 hours a week if you hail from a study abroad program in the UK
- 10 hours a week in case you are studying for a course that stands below a degree level at
an HEI
Work Permits After Study
You can work full time during vacation periods, before your course starts and after your course
has ended. Our consultant would provide all the basic details of your work rights while you are
studying at UK universities and institutions. International students who wish to remain in the UK
after they have graduated must apply for a work visa from UK Visa and Immigration. There are
several visas that you can apply for given the fact that you are a graduate:
Tier 2 (General) Visa: This is the one that is primarily applied to remaining and
working in the UK even after your studies are completed. It is the one that is open to
recent graduates holding a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD from a renowned and recognized
UK university. Before you apply, ensure that you have an offer of a skilled job extended
to you from a licensed employer.
Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) Visa: This visa is open to all students who are into
business and in the process of developing a world-class business idea. You will be
required to be identified and sponsored by the university you are studying, stating that
you have the potential to build your own business. This applies to all the graduating
students that come from any subject discipline.
Tier 4 (Student) Visa: If you are a student who has completed a degree in PhD at a UK
higher education institute at which you can reach out and apply for a further 12 months
stay in the UK, after your course completion date. You will get sponsorship from the
university where you study, you will also have full unrestricted work rights, which
extend the candidate from some of the limited professions such as doctors or dentists.
Tier 5 Temporary Worker: This visa is the one to allow you to work in the UK for
approximately 12 or 24 months depending on the scheme that you’re applying for. The
International students that come to the UK can definitely apply for the Tier 5 visa to
undertake work experience and also internships in the UK after the completion of studies.

Visa Process
International students from outside the UK or EU must apply for a student visa to study in the
UK. You can only apply for a student visa if you opt for a full-time university degree course in
the UK. Student visas are not issued for part-time courses. Your eligibility is calculated by using
a points-based rules system which is called a Tier 4 Student Visa.
